4th Assembly of WDM over in Istanbul

On Wednesday the 4th Assembly of the World Democratic Movement (WDM) started in Istanbul, Turkey, on Sunday completes, MP Asim Mollazade, the chair of the Democratic Reforms Party (DRP).

Heads of democratic movements, political parties, non-governmental organizations, as well as representatives of some parliaments attend the event, Trend reports.

The meeting of the Movement of World Democratic Parliamentarians has been held within the Assembly. The participants of the meeting have achieved appropriate agreement on joint cooperation of parliamentarians of some countries. Mollazade, who is also a member of the Movement from 2002, noted that the meeting brought together the parliamentarians from Europe, Asia, Australia and America to discuss some serious issues and achieve agreement.

According to Mollazade, during the Assembly they have discusses the work carried out on development of democracy in Azerbaijan, efforts of international organizations in this direction, as well as issues of international cooperation. The discussing topic is related to information right and issues of transparency. The 4th Assembly completes in Wednesday evening.

Mollazade representing Azerbaijan at the event said that he had separate meetings with representatives of foreign countries participating in the conference, held mutual discussions with heads of political parties. "We had meetings with heads of some democratic organizations, exchanged opinions and achieved agreement on the further cooperation," MP underlined.

The World Democratic Movement established in the USA unities heads of political bodies of different countries of the world.
