Size of industrial product production and services increased 20.1% in Azerbaijan

It is first time that such high development speed is observed in Azerbaijan since 1942.

According to the information given to APA from the State Statistics Committee, 94 % of production fell to share of industrial goods, 6 % of services of industrial character. 30,1 % of growth was observed in the non-state enterprises which realized 65,7 % of production. Production and rendering industrial services increased 23,2 % in the mine-extracting sector, 16,0 % in the treatment sector and 4,5 in the electric energy, gas and water production and division sector.

Production in the oil sector (output and treatment) enterprises 22,6 % exceeded the level of the first half of 2004. The number of the persons working in the industrial enterprises in January-May months increased 3,6 % in comparison with the relevant period of the previous year and reached 151,9 thousand persons and in the non-state sector increased 15,2 % and reached 48 thousand persons. Increasing of the number of the associates is mostly observed in the fields of weaving and sewing goods production, leather, leather goods and shoes production, cellulose-paper production, publishing work, other non-ferrous mineral things production.

The average monthly nominal wages of the hired workers was 1 million 8 thousand manats. This number is 10 % more than January-May months of the previous year. The average monthly nominal wages of the persons working in the oil sector was 2,2 times more than the average indicator on the industry of the country as a whole. The average monthly nominal wages of the citizens of Azerbaijan working in this sector increased to a considerable extent and formed 1,3 million manats. This means 35,0 % of growth in comparison with January-May months of the previous year.

The highest level of the average monthly nominal wages was observed in metallurgy, cement industry, transport means production and oil treatment enterprises in treatment industry. 35,1 thousand persons worked in electric energy, gas and water production and division field and their average monthly nominal wages forming 528,3 thousand manats increased 29,1 % in comparison with January-May months of the previous year.
