Azerbaijan-Georgia business-forum held in Baku

The first deputy of the prime-minister Abbas Abbasov making a speech in the measure stressed the positive relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia in all fields and said this factor affects very positively stable activity of the businessmen.

A.Abbasov noted that Georgia is one of the partners of Azerbaijan stressing goods exchange between the two countries formed $ 203, 4 million in 2004 and this means 1,7 times more in comparison with 2004. A.Abbasov touching the relations in the energetic and chemistry fields said that more than 400 tons of oil products were sent to Georgia from Azerbaijan in 2004, and 170 tons of oil products were sent to this country during 5 months of this year. He called on the Georgian businessmen to strengthen their activity in Azerbaijan.

The prime-minister of Georgia Zurab Nogaydeli informed that he is very satisfied with the meetings held in Ganja yesterday and said that such meetings create possibilities to use much more efficiently the potentials existing in the different fields between our countries.

The head of the Trade-Industrial Chamber of Georgia Jamal Inaishvili said that such business-forums will be held both in Tbilisi and Baku systematically after this.

The foreign affairs deputy-minister Khalaf Khalafov, the ambassador of Azerbaijan in Georgia Ramiz Hasanov, the ambassador of Georgia in Baku Zurab Gumberidze and other officials participated in the opening of the business-forum.

After speeches made in the measure, exhibitions of goods produced in Azerbaijan and Georgia were organized in separate pavilions and the businessmen of Azerbaijan and Georgia held talks on business matters.
