“All the state organizations, especially law enforcement bodies should prevent the spread of false money in the republic.”
Head of press service of National Bank Kamran Nazarli told APA while responding to the question concerning the spread of 50 thousand manats notes in the country.
He stated that the National Bank has not received any information about it yet. Stating that, National Bank has no special action plan on removing false money out of the circulation, K.Nazarli stressed that this is up to the law enforcement bodies.
Expressing opinion on that fact that the trade and catering establishments are refusing 50 thousand manats notes, K.Nazarli said that the tradesmen are responsible for refusing manta - our state symbol: “If anyone fears of the money to be false he must identify whether it is false or not. He can refuse the money after knowing that it is false. But, he must apply to the law enforcement bodies immediately. False money is spread all over the world. It is not massive case in our country yet”.
APA was informed from the press service of the Interior Ministry that, they have not been applied regarding the false money: “The Ministry will investigate if there are any appeals about it”.
