Azerbaijan takes 137 place on the corruption index consisting out of 159 countries

Transparency International published its Corruption Index for the year 2005

Transparency International published on October 18 its new corruption index. On the list consisting of 159 countries Azerbaijan stood on 137th place. According to the same index Georgia scored 134th and Armenia 87th place.


The index shows that the most corrupted country in the world is Chad while the most bribery free is Finland. In the index published by Transparency International last year Azerbaijan was on 140th place among 149 countries.
