37% of retirees receive their pensions by means of plastic cards

APA was told by the State Social Protection Fund that more than 272 thousand retirees are paid their pensions through plastic cards in Baku and Sumgait at present.

The International Bank of Azerbaijan installed 164 money access machines (cash machines) and 115 POS-machines in these cities for this purpose. Other 232 thousand retirees receiving their pensions through plastic cards live in different city and regional centers of the republic. 176 cash machines and 56 POS-machines have been installed in city and regional centers so far. SSPF currently implements measures for enabling this system to other pensioners as well.
