Oracle interested in close cooperation with Azerbaijan

"Oracle evaluates the IT market of Azerbaijan as attractive, the Oracle vice-president," said general director of Oracle CIS Boris Sherbakov said in a statement to journalists today.

According to him, Azerbaijan is the priority market for the company and considerable growth in the economy as compared to other Trans-Caucasus states is visually seen here.

"Oracle sees perspectives in cooperation with Azerbaijan as the country's economic growth may be forecasted also for the future and consequently, the ICT sphere as well," Sherbakov noted.

As for the opening of the representative office in Azerbaijan, Sherbakov said it may be implemented in case of need, depending on the scope of works. "In case the company's management finds it expedient it will be done immediately," he said.

The company has its offices in Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine, Trend reports.

Apart from this, Oracle has the experience in cooperation with Azerbaijan through 6 official partners and the Oracle technology, introduced in some state bodies, among which the Presidential Office, the Finance Ministry, the Interior Ministry, the State Oil Fund, the National Bank of Azerbaijan, Azercell Telecom Joint Venture, Barmek Azerbaijan and other.
