Trade turnover between Japan and Azerbaijan reached $70.6 million

As APA informs, in 2005 Azerbaijan exported $18.3 million of caviar, wool and crude oil to Japan. The amount of grants provided so far is $694.44 million.

Capital reconstruction was implemented in the Sumgait Ethylene-Polyethylene Plant at the expense of a $80.3 million credit granted by the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation. The Bank allocated $180.7 million for I phase of reconstruction of the Shimal Power Plant (PP). In II phase of that project the Bank will fund construction of the Garadagh-Digah-Shimal PP pipeline and 2 gas-compressor stations in Garadagh.
