Ayshan Company sued Defense Ministry and State Vet Service for Zebu meat scandal

Ayshan Company sued the Defense Ministry and the State Vet Service under auspicious of the Ministry of Agriculture in connection with meat scandal.

As APA reports, Company director Tahir Aliyev informs that Defense Ministry passed a decision on penalization of the company by US$740,000 and removal from the tender.

"The State Veterinary Service monopolized meat selling and doesn't allow distribution of Zebu beef brought from India".

Aliyev told that they decided to get engaged in selling of Zebu meat according to expert opinion.

"These animals are efficient for slaughter, so the state raise these in southern regions"
.
The Defense Ministry acting Chief Ilgar Verdiyev accused the opposite side. He said that as the company didn't fulfill the undertakings, the Ministry has the right to exclude it from the tender and impose penalty.
