Several power plants to be repaired this week

The 7th power unit in the Azerbaijan Thermal Power Plant (TPP) will be stopped for prophylactic purposes for 4-5 days.

APA was informed about it from the press-service of Azerenergy OJSC quoting the chief of the Electricity Production Department Shikhmammad Aslanov.

Repairs of the 150 megawatt old power unit in the Shimal power plant have been recently completed and the power unit will be tested and connected to the network this week.

At the same time, "A" category inspection will be started in the first gas-turbine unit of Baku TPP this week.

Experts of the ABB Company will come to Baku for this purpose and guide the inspection. The power unit #5 in Ali Bayramli TPP and 4th hydropower unit in Yenikand Hydroelectric Power Plant will be stopped for repairs.
