Azerbaijan to start exporting medicines by the end of May

Initially, the Company will export 6 kinds of medicines to that country. Those medicines are being registered at present and volume of exportation is not known yet, APA reports.

It was also noted from LLC that the Company currently sends its medicines to Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. According to Azerfarm, at the present moment exportation of medicines to Russia and Ukraine is not profitable from the economic point of view. The reason of it is that many documents are required for this process in those countries and the registration process costs high.

So, approximately $20 thousand is required for registration of only 1 kind of medicine in Russia. Azerfarm LLC is the only local pharmacological enterprise in Azerbaijan exporting its products to the external market. The second enterprise producing medicines in Azerbaijan is the Azersintez Azerbaijani-Turkish Joint Venture.
