Noah’s Ark and the great Flood is one of the most widely known events in the history of mankind.
Many people remain fascinated with the story of Noah’s ark, the familiar Bible narrative that speaks of a worldwide flood. In fact, most religions and cultures have a version of the account in their history.
The Biblical story inspired Azerbaijani artist to create a special series of paintings titled "Noah's Ark of the 21st century".
Xatire Hasanzade has presented her new paintings in a solo exhibition at Art Salon in Baku. More than 60 works are displayed at the exhibition.
Chairman of Azerbaijani Artists' Union, People's Artist Farhad Khalilov, People's Artist Arif Huseynov and People's poet Nariman Hasanzade addressed the opening ceremony and hailed the creativity of Xatire Hasanzada.
They noted that the artist's works show a philosophical view of what is happening in the world. It's some kind of the metamorphosis of nature and human existence.
Hasanzade, in turn, expressed her gratitude to the organizers of the exhibition, and stressed that the salvation of humanity lies in the hands of the people themselves, their proper attitude, a positive attitude towards life and fight against evil for the good of justice and kindness.
The exhibition, organized with the assistance of the Culture and Tourism Ministry and Azerbaijani Artists' Union will last until April 21.
Xatira Hasanzade graduated from the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli. Since 2005, Xatira Hasanzade is a member of Azerbaijani Artists' Union. She is also a member of Azerbaijan's Association of Creative Women.
The artist's paintings were exhibited at international exhibitions and are kept in private collections in USA, Austria, Belgium, Turkey, Spain, China and other countries.
