A calligraphy and illumination miniature exhibition of Iranian artists marking the 32nd anniversary of establishment of the Iran Islam Republic opened in Baku on Tuesday.
Addressing the ceremony, Head of the Azerbaijan Union of Artists Farhad Khalilov touched on the relations between Azerbaijani and Iranian artists and stressed the importance of such exhibitions for boosting the cooperation.
Speaking at the ceremony Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Muhammad Bagir underlined Azerbaijan and Iran have shared history, describing calligraphy and painting as a piece of their history. The three-day exhibition showcased 120 paintings by five Iranian artists.
