China is preparing to present the new J-35A stealth fighter at the international aviation and space exhibition Airshow China 2024 in Zhuhai, Azernews reports.
The exhibition will be held from November 12 to 17 in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong.
"The J-35A medium-sized multi-role stealth fighter will be showcased at the 15th Airshow China," said Niu Wenbo.
Also at the exhibition, the Hun-19 missile system and a new multifunctional strike and reconnaissance drone will be presented for the first time, and the cargo compartment of the Y-20 aircraft will also be available for inspection.
"The public demonstration of the J-35A fighter means that the Chinese Air Force will now simultaneously possess two stealth fighters—the J-20 and J-35A. This makes China the second country in the world, after the United States, to have two stealth fighters at the same time, with the F-22 and F-35," explained military expert Li Li.
It is noted that the J-35 may become part of a series of fighters and could eventually be used as a carrier-based aircraft for aircraft carriers, significantly enhancing China's overall military capabilities in both air and naval operations, the report adds.
