Joseph Biden hails bravery of Georgian athletes

Joseph Biden expressed his condolence for the death of Georgian athlete Nodar Kumaritashvili, a 21-year-old luger, whose death overshadowed the Vancouver Winter Olympics.

Biden also spoke about his meeting with Georgian president and athletes, hailed them for being dedicated in the Games.

"I met with Saakashvili last night and it was obvious that he had his home, his team with him, but the way of the reception the Georgian team got when they walked in the arena was heartening I think the people are basically dedicated in the games and they are moving on despite the tragedy," Mr. Biden said.
