The Association of Tourism of Azerbaijan (AzTa) has developed a city route for the guests of the Eurovision 2012 Song Contest.
Referring to the eurovision.az website, according to Fuad Rasulov, an officer of the specially-established AzTA staff, which deals with hotel booking and tours for Eurovision 2012 visitors, the excursions for the delegations of contest participants around the city will be free.
"Excursions will be free of charge for members of 41 countries` delegations to come to Eurovision 2012. Four routes were selected for excursions - Icherisheher (Old Town), Apsheron Peninsula, Gobustan and Gabala. The guests will also travel in the double-decker buses through the city centre and visit the Martyrs` Alley," Rasulov said.
“The excursions for other guests of the contest will be paid - 50 manats per tourist” he added.
Rasulov also pointed out that in addition to already developed directions, the staff will be accepting orders at will, in any direction the client wishes. AzTA specially-established staff has been working at the Baku Business Center since February and will continue its activities until the end of May.
