The stage and Green room of Eurovision 2012 were presented on Friday, eurovision.az reported today.
After six weeks of hard work all the necessary equipment has been established on the stage of Baku Crystal Hall. The lighting system of Baku Crystal Hall, consisting of over 2,500 projectors and 3,000 meters of cable, was brought from Germany in 90 containers. Some ready-made elements of the stage were brought from Hamburg in 70 40-ton trucks. 2 cargo aircraft of Silk Way airlines brought to Baku modern LED lighting technology and a system of video cameras.
LED screens with an area of over 1,300 square meters, located in the form of electronic windows were installed on stage of the Baku Crystal Hall. Design of these screens was made by Florian Wieder, designer of such projects as the Eurovision 2011, MTV Video Music Awards, X-Fastor, Pop Idol. Scenes and podiums of the arena will be presented in 3D format, audience will see the amazing night view of Baku on the screens.
The fact that the Green Room will be located in the hall, will make the Baku show for the spectators and competitors more memorable. Never in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest were participants and spectators so close to each other.
With 25 HD-camera shows every detail will be reflected on the screen. This system of cameras consists of Spidercam, which moves in different directions over the audience, two shooting cranes, 2 Steadicam and the two cameras on the rails. Many new features will be during the shooting of the show. For example, two chambers at the same time will be installed at the Steadicam and shooting equipment on rails. This will help to shoot performances from different angles. As a result, a more dynamic shooting will be demonstrated to viewers.
The Eurovision 2012 will be broadcast in Europe with the most modern television stations, brought to Baku from Belgium and managed by professional experts in the field of live broadcast. In the case of unexpected technical problems, a spare television station will connect to broadcast. The soundtrack will be performed in stereo, and Dolby Surround 5.1 format.
The 57th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in the Baku Crystal Hall near State Flag Square. The semi-finals will be held in Baku on May 22 and May 24 and the final on May 26. The logo for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest is 'Fire Flower', while the motto is Light your fire.
Azerbaijan won the right to host the prestigious European song contest after the victory of Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell / Nikki) at Eurovision 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany last May.
