Sale of poultry and birds of passage completely banned in Barda

A deliberation was held in the executive power of Lenkeran (EP) related to intensifying precautions against the bird flue disease.

As APA informs, head of the EP of Lenkeran Suleyman Mikayilov listened to the information given by heads of relevant institutions on the current situation in the region. Concrete instructions were given to veterinary laboratory, veterinary station of the region, hygiene and epidemiology center for intensifying precautions.

The measures implemented in the direction of the implementation of the plan of measures of Ministries of Health, Agriculture and Ecology and Natural Resources for preventing the spread of the bird flu in the republic were discussed, views were exchanged on the current measures as well.

The issues concerning increasing of the control over the bans to fowling and sale of birds, sale of alive and killed poultry in the region, organizing public awareness for precaution of bird flue, preparing the health institutions for implementing treatment measures and etc. were also discussed in the deliberation.

According to the information of Karabakh bureau of APA, the residents of Barda region panic at bird flue danger. Flat ban of the sale of both alive and killed, spotty and unspotted poultry and birds in the market increased this scare more.

Head of the Veterinary Station of Barda region Aydin Mammadov that they receive information on the die out of the poultry in the region every day: “The poultry die out massively of diseases in liver and gall due to winter season and that causes panic among the population. We have banned the sale of fowl and feathers in the markets and shops for precautions. The Police Department and Health Department of Barda assist us. There was not any death case of suspected of bird flue among the poultry in our region for the time being".
