Russian Ombudsman to visit Baku May 5

As APA reports, the Russian delegation will attend the events within the Year of Russia in Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijani Ombudsman's Office informed that the delegation is composed of 20 ombudsmen of autonomous bodies in Russia. Russian visitors will also attend the international conference - "Level of cooperation and its development prospects for improving human rights protection."

The discussions will focus on several topics - "Human rights and democratic values: Ombudsman's experience", "Development of juvenile justice in the CIS states", "Juridical enlightenment as main focus of Ombudsman's activity", "Unified indicators in evaluation of activity of commissioner for human rights" and several other topics.

Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Thomas Hammerberg is also expected to attend the conference.
