He told APA that 99 percent of officers in the Military Academy are local ones and added that training in the Academy meets NATO standards.
"We study the experience of other states in training. However, we lack some textbooks in native language. So, we have to translate some materials. Representatives of NATO and other countries approve the training in our academy. Russians, who do not approve us, have never been to the Academy," Mr. Gambarov said.
The Academy head also said that there are some proposals on expanding the Academy's activity noting that more than 100 high ranking officers have graduated from the Academy.
"This Academy was established in 1999 and has developed more since that time. The training of our officers is in much higher level that those of the rest South Caucasian countries," the colonel reported.
There are academic courses of researches and state defense organization, military attache courses as well as officer training courses under the auspices of the Military Academy. These courses give classes on military political, military economical, military strategic situation as well as defense opportunities of the state. Different military personnel, representatives from Ministries, executive powers as well as other organizations for economic and political defense of the state also participate in these courses.
