Azerbaijani to mark centenary of country's football

The Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) developed an action plan in connection with the 100th anniversary of Azerbaijani football, AFFA reported.

It is planned to hold a series of events on occasion of the anniversary upon instructions of AFFA President Rovnag Abdullayev. Under the plan, a grand ceremony will be held in June at the Buta Palace.

The event is expected to be attended by international football bodies, representatives of national associations and other guests.

AFFA has collected photos, videos and publications about the history of Azerbaijani football from the state archive for use during the event.
