'Baku to prepare for European Games at high level '

Preparations for the 2015 Baku European Games will be carried out at high level. These games will be a great gift not only for athletes but also for children and young people, the head of British Olympic Association, Lord Sebastian Coe told journalists.

"Olympic Games must inspire youth and engage them in sports. These games should be organized in an interesting manner," Coe said.

On Monday Lord Sebastian Coe met with the Azerbaijani National Olympic Committee's management and representatives of various sports agencies in Baku. Discussions were held in connection with the European Games Baku-2015.

Speaking about the prospects of Baku hosting the Summer Olympic Games, Coe said that it was a multi-step process.

"The organization of the European Games could be practice for the organization of the Summer Olympic Games. Azerbaijan should approach this step by step," Sebastian Coe said.
