You agree with me that love is the most wonderful feeling in this world. Love has no nationality, race, religion and age.

Valentine’s Day - February 14 - is a unique day when people celebrate love.

There are many myths about the origins of this holiday, bringing happiness and joy to couples. Although the truths behind the Valentine legends are murky, the stories all emphasize its appeal as a sympathetic, heroic and what is most important, a romantic figure.

Perhaps we will never know the true story behind the man named St. Valentine, but this much is for sure...February has been the month to celebrate love for a long time, giving a chance for many enamored people to express or renew their love.

This holiday is celebrated around the world.

No other day may be associated with such powerful imagery of chocolate, flowers, romance, love and valentine cards, particularly red and pink.

The first valentines appeared in the 16th century. As early as 1800, companies began mass-producing cards. Initially these cards were hand-colored by factory workers.

Valentine's Day would not be complete without Cupid, the most recognized symbol of love. Cupid is a mischievous boy who goes around wounding humans with his arrows, causing them to fall in love.

Thousands lovers with love in their eyes and a rose in their hands celebrate this day in different ways, including sending each other cards or letters, giving gifts or flowers and arranging meals in restaurants.

Creative people try to make this day unforgettable for their second halves, coming up with unusual, romantic, and sometimes even incredible surprises to prove their infinite love and care.

Most romantic men look forward until February 14 to make a marriage proposal to their sweethearts to capture this day for a lifetime.

Many Azerbaijani hotels open their doors for romantic couples. They suggest attractive offers including a magic romantic candlelit dinner at the top of the legendary Maiden Tower, accompanied by a live music, a pleasant surprise to ladies and unforgettable moments spent with your loved one.

Love is one word, but it means lots of different things, as there are several loves including God’s love, parent-love and family-love. It is the day that you show your care not only to your loved one, but also parents, friends, teacher and so on.

Americans and Germans also congratulate the teachers and their colleagues on this day. In Japan, Valentine's Day is generally considered an exclusively male holiday.

And if you don’t have someone to love this year, we wish you to meet your earthly love and celebrate this holiday with him or her next year. Let the arrow of glorious Cupid get right on its target.
