Defense ministry investigates circumstances a soldier disappeared

At present the Defense Ministry is involved in the investigation into the case.

An international working group (IWG) on search of the missing people and release of POWs and captives is also involved in this issue. Avaz Hassanov, a coordinator of the IWG, told Trend after the clarification of all circumstances the group plans to appeal to Armenia.

As the State Commission on POWs and missing people, it is not currently involved in the search of Jafarov. The Commission told Trend a relevant appeal is required by the Defense Ministry in this connection.
