Ismayil Omarov: “We intend to broadcast a telecast in Armenian language in the Public Television”

These words were told by the general director of PTV in his explanation to APA.

According to his words, though the budget of PTV for 2005 was asserted 10 milliard manats, if there is a need, additional finance is intended to be allocated. I.Omarov informed that the state head gave instructions to the appropriate structures in connection with creating of all possibilities for forming PTV and they pay attention to this question.

The general director said that they intend to broadcast a telecast in Armenian language in PTV and informed that they will come to a decision after they will study the relation of the public to this question.

According to his words, if the public expresses positive relation to this question, the telecats in Armenian language will be broadcasted on TV: “The Armenians of Karabakh are the citizens of Azerbaijan. We want to give them special autonomity. Our citizens must be informed about the public processes in Azerbaijan and development of the country. After they are informed about this development, they will be against the Armenian occupation themselves”.

I.Omarov said that it is also possible to broadcast the telecasts in Armenian language till the Armenia-Azerbaijan Karabakh conflict is solved. The general director informed that a public inquiry center works in PTV and the center will hold a referendum between the population in connection with this question.
