Etibar Mammedov elected as deputy chairman of International Democrat Union

Member of ”Yes” Coordination Council, leader of ANIP Etibar Mammedov was elected as deputy chairman of International Democrat Union for the next three years term.
APA was informed by deputy chairman of ANIP on international matters Fuad Mukhtarov.

According to him, election of chairman and deputy chairman of International Democrat Union for the next three years was held in its Leaders’ Meeting held in Washington.

Australian Prime Minister John Howard was elected as chairman of International Democrat Union and ANIP leader Etibar Mammedov, Prime Minister of Greece Karamanlis, Norwegian Foreign Minister Peterson were elected as deputy chairman of IDU. It must be noted that, International democrat Union is a working association of over 80 conservative and like minded political parties of the center and center right from 56 countries.  Republicans Party of the USA, Conservatives Party of Great Britain, Christian Democrat Union of Germany, Moderate Party of Sweden, Union of Right Forces of Russia, and Likud Party of Israel are member parties of the International Democrat Union.

The Leaders’ Meeting of IDU in Washington finished its work. ANIP leader Etibar Mammedov is expected to conduct meetings with the USA President George Bush, State Secretary Condoleezza Rice, Australian Prime Minister John Howard and other persons after the meeting. Etibar Mammedov will participate in the breakfast arranged by the USA President George Bush for the leaders attended the meeting of IDU yesterday morning.
