CEC chairman Mazahir Panahov met with Terry Davis

The chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) met the secretary general of the Council of Europe Terry Davis yesterday.
According to the information given to APA from the press-service of CEC, the CE secretary general informing that the goal of his visit to Azerbaijan is related to the parliamentary elections to be held in November of this year noted that he wants to help our country in this question and also expressed his hope that 6 November elections will be a step taken to forward.

T.Davis stressed that many works were carried out in the frame of preparation to elections and interested with elector’s lists, elector’s cards, enlightening members of lower election commissions and other questions. The CEC chairman answered questions of the guest and spoke about the steps taken in the direction of preparation to elections.

Terri Davis also interested with voting of internally displaced people and the situation in the Khankendi election constituency # 122. The CEC chairman informed that precincts of internally displaced people was spread in the whole territory of the country and gave information about the existing situation in the Khankendi election constituency # 122.
