Foreign NGOs may be allowed to observe elections in Azerbaijan

According to the head of press service of Milli Majlis [parliament] Agshin Babayev, the session will discuss details of the executive order “On urgent measures related to preparation and holding of the elections to Milli Majlis” signed by the head of state yesterday and concerning the responsibilities of Milli Majlis.

President Ilham Aliyev’s order suggested Milli Majlis to discuss a possibility of lifting the ban prohibiting foreign NGOs, juridical persons having more than 30% share of foreign capital to observe presidential, parliamentary and municipality elections in Azerbaijan.
