Azerbaijan's agricultural sector grew by more than 1%

In January this year Azerbaijan produced agricultural products worth AZN 491.2 million, this is 1.2% more than last year's figure. Azernews reports citing the State Statistics Committee.

Last year, the value of crop production increased by 0.8% to AZN 22.7 million, while the value of livestock production increased by 1.2% to AZN 468.5 million.

Last month the country produced 46.3 thousand tons of meat in live weight, including poultry meat, 160.7 thousand tons of milk, 188.3 million eggs, compared to 1 year earlier meat production increased by 1.5%, egg production - by 3.4%. milk production was at the same level.
