20 PACE observers to watch re-elections in Azerbaijan

PACE Monitoring Committee passed a decision about it today. Head of Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov, who also attended the sitting of the Monitoring Committee, told the Europe bureau of APA in Strasbourg that the re-elections in Azerbaijan scheduled for next month was on the agenda. Mr.Seyidov also said that first it was proposed to send 40-memebr observation mission but then the number fell to 20.

Seyidov thinks that last week's talks with the Venice Commission and opposition's representation in the parliament aroused positive opinions in the Committee members regarding Azerbaijan.
