GUAM Summit to take place in Kiev May 22-23

As APA reports, President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko today issued an executive order on preparations for GUAM Summit. Special organizational committee has been set up under the executive order.

The organizational committee held its first meeting related to preparation for the Summit.

Chief of the committee, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Stanislav Stashevski said that the objective of GUAM was to find new mechanisms on efficient mutual cooperation.

Stashevski called on the committee members to unite their efforts to hold the Summit of GUAM in high level.
