Another "genocide" will be officially registered in Armenia today. In the Yerablur pantheon, they are going to solemnly lay the foundation of a memorial in honor of the terrorists eliminated by the Azerbaijani army during the counter-terrorism operation in September 2023, as well as those who died on September 25 last year during an explosion at a fuel base near Khankendi.
The Yerablur Pantheon is not the backyard of Kocharyan's villa, but a territory under the jurisdiction of the state, and the opening of a memorial there cannot be someone's private initiative. This action has been coordinated with the authorities and is carried out with their approval. These are the very authorities who declare their readiness for peace with Azerbaijan at every step. It's strange how they prove it. It is unlikely that another memorial glorifying Armenian separatism will contribute a positive contribution to the achievement of good neighborliness. The prospects for peace are becoming more hazy every day. Moreover, Armenia is not just breaking a fool, it is deliberately sabotaging the peace process.
A number of points give reason to say that Armenia does not really want peace, but wants to delay time. This was stated by President Ilham Aliyev, speaking at the first meeting of the Milli Majlis of the new convocation. "We see that Armenia is artificially delaying this issue. Because from the moment our first draft was sent to Armenia to date, there have been ten exchanges of comments and each time certain provisions were agreed upon, that is, there was progress in this matter. We have to say it the way it is. But at the same time, as the months passed, we naturally expected that Armenia would provide us with its comments more promptly and faster. However, we have seen that everything is exactly the opposite.
We had to wait 70 days before we got the last option from them. On June 24, our comments were sent to them, and they sent us a response in late August or early September. What was the answer? All the inconsistent provisions were excluded from their version of the peace treaty. That is, such a primitive and inadequate step, to be honest, was unexpected. The provisions excluded from the text, that is, the provisions they want to exclude, are important. Without them, the peace treaty will be incomplete," the head of state said.
Yerevan acted like a schoolboy who tore off a deuce with a blade for behavior in a diary. If there is no two, there is no problem. There really doesn't seem to be a problem from the point of view of his guardians. Despite Yerevan's blatantly unacceptable approach to such a serious issue, absurd hopes for peace on the eve of the COP29 continue to be heard. Important European and American officials are talking about this. There is a blatantly outrageous campaign to force Baku to conclude a funny peace with Yerevan.
As they say, we were not there and they did not hold a candle, but something tells us that the Armenian side was advised to simply get rid of the moments that did not suit it, promising to solve everything quickly. Armenia already has an extremely negative "credit history", it can no longer be spoiled. This country has reached the point where you can't do anything, you can't go any lower. After all, if you think about it, it's crazy to cross out the points of a peace treaty instead of agreeing on them. This treaty should determine the future not only of the two countries, but also of the entire region. Realizing this, Yerevan took such a step, listening to advice from the outside and hoping that the hopes for COP29 would be justified. There are hopes in terms of blackmailing Azerbaijan, which, they say, will do anything for the sake of image. Vain expectations and vain hopes.
In the Milli Majlis, the President recalled that after the Second Karabakh War, it was on the initiative of Azerbaijan that peace talks were launched. At that time, neither Armenia nor other states had any formed opinion about the future at all.
"After the Second World War, no one offered fascist Germany a peace treaty, Germany was divided, and the capitulating fascist state was punished. Not only was the capitulating fascist state not punished here, but they were given all the preferences," President Ilham Aliyev said.
The Armenian political arena is chaotic and contradictory. But all the elements of chaos are united in one thing - no one in this country wants peace. Neither the government nor the opposition. Three years ago, it seemed that the catastrophe that befell the Armenian national idea would begin to clear minds. It was believed that society would wake up, that Pashinyan would try to bring the country to a number of civilized states capable of independence and development. These hopes are no longer there today. We see that, having felt the support of the new guardians behind him, Yerevan calmed down and took up the old things. Behind him are the same people who supported him all the years of the conflict, only now they do it openly, because their pet has ceased to be considered an aggressor and an occupier and you don't have to wash your hands with soap after scratching his ear. With the exception, perhaps, of Russia, which seems to be offended by Yerevan, although it continues to sell weapons to it.
Today's Armenia is a national hodgepodge. There are no people on its territory - Russian border guards, French military, and even Americans who "accidentally" forgot to leave the country after recent joint exercises. Perhaps, the soldiers of the Kansas National Guard, who were there the other day to exchange experiences, also "accidentally" stayed in Armenia. According to social media, the Americans settled in Zangezur, not far from the Russians. There is also a so-called EU civilian observation mission somewhere, and just to the south, on the other side of the border, Iranian units are jealously monitoring the situation. Well, what is not multiculturalism in Armenian? And all this is explained by the need to "contain" Azerbaijan. The illusion of a non-existent threat explains the presence of a motley campaign of armed foreigners on the territory of sovereign Armenia. Meanwhile, representatives of Western countries have already started working in the Armenian army. An incomprehensible crowd is illegally watching our borders. These people actually have no right to monitor the territory of a sovereign state with binoculars. The Europeans themselves violated the agreements initiated by themselves. In 2022, at a meeting in Prague, it was decided to place a short-term observation mission on the Armenian side, but the mission became a long-term one.
Its number has increased, its geography has expanded, and Canada has suddenly appeared in the EU mission. It is safe to say that the mission will not leave Armenia, it will secretly become indefinite. Her work is not only "tourist", but also of applied importance. Currently, the militarization of Armenia is under the control of the States, that is, military plans for this country are expanding. "Now America is allocating them $250 million, which they will use for their internal purposes, and with the money they save they will buy weapons to kill us. Who is and will be responsible for this? Those who gave them this money. Including the so-called "European Peace Foundation". Look at the level of hypocrisy. The fund intended for armament is called the Peace Fund, Armenia uses it and receives weapons from France for free. These funds are also not being paid from other places. Therefore, this is a serious issue, and I would not like to talk about it much," the head of state said, stressing that those who arm Armenia should know that they will be directly responsible for all future events.
But Armenia is not used to thinking about the future. The Armenians are happy and inspired, not realizing that in fact, everything that is allegedly being done for their safety is holding back not Azerbaijan, but the development of Armenia. As President Ilham Aliyev correctly noted, Armenia is systematically being tried to incite Azerbaijan, using it as a tool. The containment of Azerbaijan has already deprived the Armenian people of many dividends that could have followed the opening of borders and roads and started working for the benefit of Armenia two or three years ago. Losing the war was a gift for her, a chance to become one of the handshaking countries. She missed him because someone promised the Armenians something. Someone said, "hold on, everything will be covered in chocolate soon," and they began to hold on. For four years they have been holding onto this straw with their hands and feet and everyone is waiting for a miracle. And for some reason it does not happen in any way...
