Azerbaijani Ombudsman meets with Ali Insanov

Commissioner for Human Rights Elmira Suleymanova met with former Health Minister Ali Insanov, who is held in the jail of the National Security Ministry (MNS).

Toghrul Babayev, Insanov's lawyer, told APA that Insanov applied to the Ombudsman for help to supply him with necessary medicine. The lawyer said the former minister is in bad health. He takes medicine for pains in his back and for tuberculosis.

"The hernia in his vertebral column gets larger. Ali Insanov needs to undergo an urgent operation. We have applied to the Republic Prosecutor for this. We expect for the reply for this appeal," the lawyer said.
