Ukraine is a failure. Lebanon, Syria — failures. The South Caucasus — a failure. It’s even worse in Africa.

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, attempting to play the role of Pashinyan’s ally, rushes to salvage Macron's image, which is rapidly declining. Pashinyan, although posing for photos with Macron, is, in practice, seeking to align himself with the United States.

So, this madame (who, by the way, holds a French passport) is Macron’s last hope that France might have some influence in the Caucasus.
