Pashinyan was "struck down" by a new type of coronavirus

25 December 2024 [12:16] - TODAY.AZ

Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan will not take part in the informal summit of CIS leaders due to a positive COVID-19 test. He wrote about this on his Facebook page.

According to Pashinyan, he was diagnosed with coronavirus on December 23, which, he says, was very timely. After consulting with colleagues, he made the decision to skip the summit.

Pashinyan did not specify who these colleagues were.

"By the end of the day, I will decide whether or not to participate in the meeting of the Supreme Economic Council of the EAEU tomorrow (December 26)," the Armenian Prime Minister added.

So, if you have COVID, you shouldn’t go out for two weeks, right?

Or is this a new strain? Some sort of clever version of the coronavirus that is only active at political summits and goes offline at economic ones?

I wish I could come up with something more realistic.
