Head of Caucasian Muslims' Office meets Russian Ambassador

Allahshukur Pashazadeh told of the role of religious figures in elevating bilateral relations between the two countries and nations to a much higher level. He cited as an example the existing relationship between the Russian Orthodox Church and Caucasian Muslims Office.

Large-scale international conference aimed at establishment of peace and stability in the Caucasus is expected to be held in the near future, Sheikhulislam said. He expressed his condolence on Russian jet crash, which entailed huge loss of lives.

Ambassador Istratov, expressed his hope that further widening of the relations between Russia and Azerbaijan would serve the interests of both nations.
