Witnesses give testimony in court

Azerbaijan's Court of Grave Crimes continued the trial of the gang led by Haji Mammadov, former high ranking official of the Interior Ministry Crime Investigation Department.

Vagif Imanov gave testimony on the episode of Urvan Bagirov's kidnapping. "We had been friends with Urvan. Once, somebody phoned me and said that there is a letter in cigarette box concerning Urvan near Ezizbeyov's monument. After taking the lette,r I knew that Urvan was kidnapped. The kidnappers demanded $750 000 for releasing Urvan. I told Urvan’s brother and he conducted the talks by himself," he said.

Answering Adil Ismayilov's questions Imanov said he does not know anything about Urvan's relationship with Chechens.

Then, Terana Lyubinskaya gave testimony who worked in Baku office of Garabulag as the manager during 2004-2005 and she said that she gave all the money got from the customers to Ferhad Mammadbeyov.

Alekber Aliyev gave testimony on the episode of the chief of Azersigorta State Company Mammad Mammadov's son Ahmed Mammadov's kidnapping.

He said that three men wearing doctor's smock seated Ahmed in the car when he was drinking tea in the tea-house in Semashko Hospital.

Mubariz Mammadov Novruz Nuriyev's brother-in-law gave testimony on the episode of Rena Nesibova's death. He said he was detained in NSM for 15 days and was released after Nuriyev's coming. "I was showed photos there but I said that I knew anyone among those people. I was told that Novruz killed someone and I had been there. But I was in the party in Devechi on that day," he said.

Nuriyev stressed that he had any information about Mammadov's relation with Rena Nesibova.
Nuriyeva's sister Fezile Nuriyeva and her mother Aferim Nuriyeva also gave testimony in the trial.

The trial will be continued in the second part of the day, APA reports.
