Azerbaijan's Democratic Party positively assessing country's participation in NATO summit

A regular session of the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan was held today.
Day.Az reports with reference to the press service for the party that the session participants discussed socio-political situation in the country.

The session participants decided to give due instructions to the local electoral bodies regarding the forthcoming elections.

"The Democratic Party of Azerbaijan positively assesses Azerbaijan's participation in the NATO summit in Bucharest. The party considers that country's integration with NATO is of great importance.

At the same time we urge to pay attention to the established economic situation in the country. Prices on foodstuffs are rising in Azerbaijan every passing day.

The session participants also discussed situation with the Electoral Code before presidential elections. The party considers that the authorities should listen to the opinion of the Venice commission and introduce amendments to the code", the statement says.
