Azerbaijan’s flag unfurled in one of highest mountain peaks of world

Famous Azerbaijani alpinist Israfil Ashurli conquered Victory Peak, one of the highest mountain peak worldwide in the Tien Shan mountains on August 21.
Victory Peak is located on the Kyrgyz-Chinese border to the east of lake Issyk-Kul, 16 kilometers south-west of Khan-Tengri Peak and is the highest point of the Tien Shan (altitude 7,439 meters). Ashurly became the first Azerbaijan climber to reach one of the highest points of the world. Ashurli climbed to Khan Tengri, another Tien Shan peak recently.
