Azerbaijani ecology ministry holds community work day on Caspian Sea shore

The Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry has prepared an action plan under the Caspian Week to be held on Sept. 23-30.

Representatives of the local executive bodies and municipalities also attended the event.

The ministry held the community work day at an area of 15-20 kilometers to clean the area from garbage, ministry's official Mikayil Jabbarov told reporters.

During the Caspian Week, community work day and roundtables with the participation of residents, local executive bodies and educational institutions will be organized, Jabbarov said.

Under the UN resolution, the International Day of Sea has been marked worldwide at the last week of September since 1978.
