Students of non-Georgian language-schools in Georgia will pass exams on general skills in their native language, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Nika Gvaramia said.

He said that the analysis of common national examinations showed that non-Georgian-language entrants face difficulties in passing this exam, which determines whether the training will be free of charge.
"We can state that the percentage of Azerbaijani and Armenian school-leavers' participation in the examination is low, and the percentage pf the students entering universities is much lower than it," the minister said.
Therefore, Gvaramia said, it was decided that non-Georgian-language applicants will pass exams in the general skills in their native language, and separate finance will be allocated for them. He also said that they are considering the possibility of taking exams on general skills in the Abkhaz and Ossetian languages.
