Pope replaces abbot mission in Baku

Benedict XVI has made new appointments in the various regions of the world, including Azerbaijan.
The Pope has appointed eight bishops, (two of them are rectors) and apostolic nuncio.

Two of the hierarchs (including the cardinal of Chairs of Seville) have left their posts.

A new diocese has been established in Ecuador.

Pope Benedict XVI accepted resignation of the abbot Sui iuris mission in Azerbaijan father Jan Chapla, S.D.B., and appointed him abbot to father Vladimir Fekete, S.D.B.
