Conference on problems of Turkic world held in Almaty

A scientific and practical conference on the topical issues of the Turkish world was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan at the initiative of the Cultural Foundation of the Turkish-speaking countries.

The event brought together teachers from higher education institutions of Uzbekistan, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova and other countries, TURKSOY representatives and heads of national cultural centers.

The meeting discussed the solidarity of Turkic world in the globalizing world amidst the world crisis, development of dialogue among confessions, protection of peace and stability in Kazakhstan and other issues.

The conference participants welcomed the proposals put forward by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev at the summit of heads of Turkish-speaking countries held in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan.
