Azerbaijan State Committee on Work with Religious Associations have presented registration certificates to 20 religious communities.

Committee's chairman Hidayat Orujov said over 30 communities have already been registered in total.
A total of 18 out of the 20 are Islamic, 2 non-Islamic communities.
The non-Islamic communities, which have received the certificates, are Baku and Caspian Eparchy of Russian Orthodox Church and Baku Mountain Jews community.
It was noted that the majority of the newly-registered Muslim communities are functioning in the mosques in Baku villages.
Hidayat Orujov said Islamic communities are subordinated to the Caucasian Muslims Office and they
must take it into consideration in their activities./
