Azerbaijan's state commitee proposes to restore title of Mother-Heroine

The State Committee for Family, Women and Children’s Problems proposes to restore title of Mother-Heroine, the committee chairwoman Hijran Huseynova said at a press conference.

She said the situation was not so critical in Azerbaijan, but sometimes the family wants one or two children, not more.

“We think restoring title of Mother-Heroine will encourage families to have more children," she said.

The committee chairwoman said Mother-Heroine would be granted to women who give a birth to 7 or more children.

Huseynova said the committee was elaborating proposals in this issue.
