The cases of the children of former Iranian president Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani have been sent to the Tehran prosecutor's office, first deputy of the Judiciary says.
"The cases of Hashemi's children have been sent to the Tehran prosecutor office and they will be heard in due time," Fars news agency quoted Ebrahim Raeesi as saying on Monday.
Mehdi Hashemi-Rafsanjani, son of Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani, has been accused of money laundering and fabrication of information.
During the fourth round of the trial of post-election detainees in August 2009, one of the defendants accused Mehdi Hashemi-Rafsanjani of embezzling $2 million of the assets of the Iranian Fuel Conservation Organization, which was previously headed by him.
Mehdi Hashemi, who is now in Britain, has categorically denied the accusations.
