Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that European Commissioner for enlargement Stefan Fule would pay a visit to Turkey on March 14 and 16.
The ministry released a statement and said this would be the first visit of Fule to Turkey since he has taken office on February 1.
The statement said Fule would be received by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu as well as State Minister & Chief Negotiator for EU talks Egemen Bagis during his visit.
Fule would also meet with the chairman and members of Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Commission and EU Adjustment Commission, the statement added.
The statement said the issues included in the agenda of Turkey-EU relations and developments recorded in negotiation process would be assessed during the visit.
Fule is also expected to meet representatives of business circles and NGOs during his visit which also cover Istanbul.
