Azerbaijani jeweler shoots himself dead in his car

A man committed suicide in Azerbaijan’s capital, Khatai district prosecutor’s office said. Baku resident Adil Khalfeliyev, 50, shot himself dead with a Makarov pistol in his Nissan near the cemetery in G.Mammadov street.

As soon as the law-enforcement bodies received information about it, an operation group was sent to the place of the incident. A letter was found on Khalfeliyev, which said: “I am tired of living. Let Allah forgive me.” Khalfeliyev also wrote the phone number of a man called Ilham and advised to talk to him.

Measures are being taken to find and interrogate that person. The district prosecutor’s office said Adil Khalfeliyev was a jeweler. Criminal case has been launched on the fact, investigation is underway.
