Caucasus Muslims Office chief receives Russian official

Head of the Caucasus Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade has today received Russian Federal Migration Service Director Konstantin Romodanovsky. Romadanovsky is attending the meeting of the Heads of CIS Migration Bodies held in Baku.

Everything that is done in the post-Soviet space is done for people and their benefit, Romodanovsky said at the meeting.

He appraised Pashazade's merits in strengthening inter-religious relations in the post-Soviet space.

"The work that you are doing is very important for the intergovernmental relations and relations among people," Pashazade said.

Pashazade said despite the collapse of the Soviet Union, the countries that were once part of it still have friendly relations and mutual contacts.
