Azerbaijan makes changes to rules of student admission for 2011/2012 academic year

The State Student Admission Commission of Azerbaijan has made changes to the student admission rules for 2011/2012 academic year.
From next year, majors like international relations and regional studies will be transferred to the second group from the third group, the chairman of the SSAC Maleyka Abbaszade said.

According to the changes, at the entrance exams to be held in 2011, some test tasks in mathematics will not include the proposed options. Abbaszade said, to facilitate the successful preparation of entrants for enrolling in universities a trial exams will be organized in January 2010 throughout the country.

"Trial exams will be conducted periodically, beginning from April," she said.

According to the changes, the first stage of examinations for admission to magistracy for 2011-2012 academic year, will be held in February next year. To implement the "Rules of organization and content of resident education" the SSAC will organize admission to this level of education.
